Breathing meditation and a cup of tea


Meditation is not a tool to avoid hurdles or run away from life issues. It is rather meant to allow spiritual healing to take place. Meditation helps us to bring us from living in the past or the future into the present. Meditation helps us to enjoy our present moment and nourish us with the smell of fresh flowers, the warmth of sunshine and the taste of food. Most of us exist but do not live, most of us inhale and exhale but do not breathe. We need to learn how to breathe with awareness. This is a wonderful tool to make our mind to stop wandering. When we are able to do this then a divinely peaceful calm sets in. When that peaceful calm sets in, then one morning you may make some masala tea, and as you pick up the cup, you smell the tea more intensely. As you sip the tea, it tastes much more delicious. Yes it does just due to the reason that you have made your mind evolve with all its awareness to taste it directly and intensely.
